国际日-快来和美达菲学子一起体验这场“文化秀”！

The International Day of Shanghai MacDuffie was originated from the MacDuffie School Granby in the US. This festival has a profound historical accumulation. This traditional event is aimed to connect MacDuffie's campuses all over the world to make them become a multicultural and diverse community. Shanghai MacDuffie Bilingual High School, which is based in China, always adheres to the school mission: "International vision with a Chinese heart." It integrates local features into traditional MacDuffie activities, demonstrating students' understanding of domestic and foreign cultures.

In this cultural feast, each class chose a country as their topic. Students not only made posters for each country but also deeply explored this country's geography, population, economy, technology, festivals, food, customs, and other cultural phenomena by doing research. Finally, they gathered in the school theater, dressing up traditional costumes from various countries all around the world. Through giving bilingual speeches, playing instruments, singing, and dancing, students demonstrated their unique understanding of different cultures. Their colorful and vivid performance led teachers and other students to a magical cultural journey.

In the process of watching students' fantastic performance, the evaluation team composed of principals and teachers evaluated students according to their content, presentation format, PPT making, speech performance, collaborative ability, and time-control ability, selected several excellent teams and individuals, and thus, gave them awards.

This event provided a good platform for students to understand various countries' cultures and broaden their international horizons. It also improved students' speech skills, manipulative ability, logical thinking, critical thinking, time management ability, and teamwork ability. This event demonstrated MacDuffie's circle values: community, integrity, respect, creativity, leadership, and excellence.

Time flew so fast. However, students and teachers' passion would never diminish although the International Day celebration ended. Now, let's join the MacDuffie and meed in the next International Day!
