校园开放日,全国各地家庭齐聚上海美达菲

6月14日，家长和学生们迎来了期待已久的上海美达菲校园开放日。来自全国各省市的家长和学生们从五湖四海慕名来到了上海美达菲。

On June 14, parents and students ushered in the long-awaited open day of the Shanghai Macduffie campus. Parents and students from different provinces and cities across the country came to Shanghai Macduffie.

在说明会正式开始前，家长和孩子一起参观了初夏充满勃勃生机的校园，领略了清幽舒适的学习环境以及出色的教学硬件设施。

Before the official start of the briefing, parents and children visited the campus full of vitality in early summer, enjoying the quiet and comfortable learning environment and excellent teaching hardware facilities.

在说明会上，学校领导、优秀教师代表以及学生代表们带领大家走近美达菲，从不同侧面分享了上海美达菲学校的精彩。

At the briefing, schoolleaders, representatives of outstanding teachers and student representatives led everyone to Macduffie and shared the wonderfulness of Shanghai Macduffie School from different sides.

美达菲（中国）教育集团学监高彩霞以“在抗疫中博弈，在选择中抉择”为主题给大家介绍了美达菲这样一所起步就与世界同步的学校，一所引领学子走进世界名校的学校。

Gao Caixia, Superintendent ofMacduffie (China) Education Group, introduced the theme of"The fightagainst epidemic disease, the choice among choices" Macduffie has beensynchronized with the world at the beginning, and leads students into the worldfamous schools.

一所学校不仅要有丰厚的精神底蕴，还要有好的课程设计。执行校长Vicki   Saul介绍了上海美达菲学校完备的课程设计，全方面培养学生的思维能力和拓宽学生的国际视野。

A school must not only havea rich spiritual heritage, but also a good curriculum design. Executive principal Vicki Saul introduced the complete curriculum design of Shanghai Macduffie School，Cultivating students' thinking ability in all aspects and broaden their international horizons.

师资是一所国际学校最核心的竞争力，老师与孩子们朝夕相处，在校园，老师就是孩子们学习生活的引路人。外方老师代表David老师给大家讲述了在美达菲，他是如何寓教于乐，激发同学们学习兴趣的。

Teachers are the core competitiveness of an international school. Teachers and children get along day and night. On campus, teachers are the guides for children to learn and live.On behalf of the foreign teachers，Mr. David told everyone how he taught happily in Macduffie and stimulated students' interest in learning.

哥伦比亚大学是一所位于美国纽约曼哈顿的世界顶级私立研究型大学，常春藤盟校之一。来自这所精英学校的优秀毕业生Bruce Sun 跟大家讲述了当年是如何从标化成绩到软实力各方面准备申请美国本学校的，还总结了高考升学与美国留学的差异，以及本科期间和毕业后的规划。

Columbia University is one of the world's top private research universities located in Manhattan, NewYork, and one of the Ivy League schools. Bruce Sun, an outstanding graduatefrom this elite school,he told everyone how heprepared to apply for this school in the United States from standardizationscores to soft power. He also summarized the difference between collegeentrance examination and studying in the United Stat   es,as well as the planning during and after graduation.

时光荏苒，转眼间又到了毕业季。上海美达菲的高三学子们手捧来自世界名校的录取通知书即将离开校园，展开人生新的篇章。即将毕业的高三IB班的高琪同学带大家回忆了她当时是如何选择来到上海美达菲的，在美达菲，她不仅到了她梦想的学校，纽约大学，还从一千多人体制内学校的“小透明”变成了一个可以在众人面前自信地脱稿讲话的“演讲达人”。她从策划反响非常一般的单词拼写大赛，到成功策划迎新活动、万圣节活动和元旦汇演等学校活动，不仅学会了如何完美地制作一份策划案，还学会了如何组织同学参与其中。

How time flies, and in a flash it is the graduation season. The senior students of Shanghai Macduffie held the admission letter from the world famous schools and will leave the campus to start a new chapter in their lives.Gao Qi, who is about tograduate from the third year of IB class, reminded everyone how she chose tocome to Shanghai Macduffie. At Macduffie, she not only went to the school ofher dreams, New York University, but also from more than 1,000 people‘sschool's "Little Transparency" has become a "ExellentSpeaker" who can speak with confidence in front of everyone. She has notonly learned how to make a perfect plan, but also how to organize herclassmates to participate in the planning of very common word spellingcontests, and the successful planning of school events such as orientationevents, Halloween events and New Year’s Day performances.

高二加拿大课程班级的王艺锦同学谈论了她从嘉兴一中来到上海美达菲学习的心路历程。在体制内，她熬夜苦读，周末还要花式学习，写满密密麻麻的笔记的书本展示着她繁重的学业压力。来到上海美达菲之后，丰富多彩的课外活动和有趣的课堂，让她的生活焕然一新，也改变了她对英语的态度：从烦躁到热爱。英语不仅仅是学习的工具，更是生活的一部分，从书面英语到全方面的发展，尤其是口语的提高。在这里，她也树立了未来想去加拿大多伦多大学学习商科的理想。

the journey from Jiaxing No. 1 Middle School, she came to ShanghaiMacduffie to learn . Within the system, she stayed up late to study hard, andhad to study fancyly on the weekends. Books filled with dense notes showed herheavy academic pressure. After coming to Shanghai Macduffie, colorfulextracurricular activities and interesting classrooms made her life look newand changed her attitude towards English: from irritability to love. English isnot only a learning tool, but also a part of life, from written English to thedevelopment of all aspects, especially the improvement of spoken language.Here, she has also established her ideal of going to the University of Torontoto study business in the future.
