春天是一个播种的季节，也是收获希望的季节。随着2020年春季的到来，我校毕业班的学子纷纷收到了来自世界各地的大学录取通知书。在众多的大学Offer当中，有一枚格外亮眼，它就是来自英国的帝国理工的大学邀请函。帝国理工学院常年稳居QS世界大学排名与泰晤士高等教育世界大学排名等权威榜单的世界大学前十。

Spring is a season of sowing and a season of harvesting hope. With the arrival of spring 2020, students in our graduating class have received acceptance letters from universities around the world. Among the many university offers, one is particularly eye-catching. It is an invitation letter from Imperial College in the United Kingdom. Imperial College is consistently ranked among the top ten universities in the world by QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

为什么喜欢化学这个专业呢？

Why do you like chemistry?

目前英国申请的五所学校的offer以及加拿大多伦多大学的offer都收到了，专业都是化学专业。我之所以都义无反顾选择了这个专业，主要感谢遇到的老师点燃了我学习这门学科的热情，到目前为止，几位教过我的化学老师都尝试去让学生将化学视为一种兴趣而并非学科。

单纯将知识局限在考试考的内容我觉得不仅是对学生的摧残，连老师上课都会觉得无聊。对我帮助最大的那位老师，使我把化学变为了兴趣，整个学期教的知识点快速结束后便拓展教科书外的知识，这一年内我的化学常识猛增也为之后学习打了基础。我获得的最大帮助应该就是我遇见的每一位化学老师都把我向这个专业上发展推了一把。

The offers from the five schools currently applied for in the UK and the offer from the University of Toronto in Canada have all been received. The majors are all chemistry majors. I chose this major without a doubt. I mainly thank the teachers I met for igniting my enthusiasm for studying this subject. So far, several chemistry teachers who have taught me have tried to make students treat chemistry as an interest. Not a discipline.I simply limit my knowledge to the content of the exams. I feel that it is not only a torture to students, but even teachers will feel bored. The teacher who helped me the most helped me turn chemistry into an interest. The knowledge points taught throughout the semester quickly expanded beyond the textbooks. This year, my surge in common chemistry knowledge also laid the foundation for later studies. The biggest help I can get is that every chemistry teacher I met pushed me towards this specialty.

申请大学有什么值得分享的经验吗？

Do you have any experience to apply to university?

申请英国大学过程其实也没什么困难，个人陈述文书牢记于心就行，帝国理工面试保持平常心，多个微笑多个感谢offer自然就来了，还有面试的学科提问部分真心不难，主要英国还是看学期末大考，分数才是硬实力。

The process of applying for a British university is not really difficult. The personal statement documents should be kept in mind. The Imperial College interviews remain normal. Many smiles and thank you offers come naturally. The subject of the interview is not difficult. At the end of the semester, the score is the hard power.

喜欢读什么课外书？

What extracurricular books do you like to read?

感兴趣的书会看完它，不感兴趣的书强制让我看我也记不进去。翻得最久的书还是本草纲目，当图鉴看。

Interested books will finish reading it, and uninterested books force me to read them and I ca n’t remember them. The longest-running book is the Compendium of Materia Medica.

我们再来看看老师是如何评价他的？

自2016年9月以来我就认识祎澄，他的自律和专注给我留下了深刻的印象，他是我们学校学习IB（国际学士学位）文凭课程的少数学生之一，他是一个思维敏捷，博学多才的孩子。他在学校的所有课程中都表现出色，尤其是在数学和化学领域，成绩通常都在前10％以内。

基于对化学的热爱，祎澄参加了美国化学竞赛，这是在美国具有影响力的高中化学竞赛。由美国化学学会赞助，并获得了优秀奖章。他又参加了加拿大化学奥林匹克竞赛并获得银牌，他的获胜者被选中参加国际化学奥林匹克竞赛。他还飞往美国参加波士顿大学的夏季挑战赛。在研究药物化学的过程中，他有机会了解知名病毒和药物的历史，并进行了相关的化学和生物学实验。

Based on his love towards chemistry,Yicheng joined The American chemistry competition, an influential high-school chemistry competition in the United States. sponsored by the American chemical society, and won the Excellent Medal. And again, he attended and and won the silver medal at Canadian Chemistry Olympiad, a national qualifier.Moreover, he flew to US to attend Summer Challenge at Boston University studying pharmacochemistry during which he got the chance to understand the history of well-known viruses and drugs, and do related chemical and biological experiments.

祎澄还积极参加数学比赛，他参加了滑铁卢大学举办的加拿大最知名的数学竞赛Euclid竞赛，并且是我们学校唯一获得证书和奖牌的人。

Yicheng is also a strong competitor in math competitions.He competed in Euclid Contest, the most recognized mathematics Contest in Canada held by the University of Waterloo's and he was the only one from our school who got the certificate and the medal.

祎澄不仅在学术上是一个聪明而勤奋的学生，他还是各种活动中的杰出成员。他曾是China Thinks Big的实验和栽培小组的负责人，主要负责白菜的种植和接种，并是学校钓鱼俱乐部，日本文化俱乐部和篮球队的成员。此外，作为学生代表之一，他甚至还没有毕业时就在校园的毕业典礼上发表了演讲。

Yicheng is not only an intelligent and hardworking student academically speaking; he is also a prominent member in all kinds of activities.He used to be the leader of experiment and cultivating group at China Thinks Big, mainly responsible for the cultivation and inoculation of cabbage and a key member of school fishing club,Japanese culture club and basketball team. Moreover, as one of the student representative, he even delivered a speech at a graduation ceremony on campus when he was not yet graduated.

在杨祎澄成长的过程中，老师就是辛勤的园丁，在他的心中种下了一颗热爱学习的种子，从此生根发芽，日渐茁壮，如今才有了丰厚的收获。希望他带着这份热情，在未来走得更高更远。

In the course of Yang Yicheng's growth, the teachers were hardworking gardeners. They planted a seed of love for study in his heart. From then on, he took root and grew stronger. We hope that with this enthusiasm, he will go higher and farther in the future.
